Back on February 25th Dewey contacted me about his dream to hold a reunion for Phi Sigs of the late 60's and early 70's. By the weekend of November 12th that dream became a wonderful reality.
Dewey arrived with his professional DJ system and all of the music we sang and danced to at Xi Deuteron parties.

Dewey and his far better half Candy kicked off the dancing with a turn at the TENNESSEE WALTZ

Barry,
My biggest fear was that my health would prevent me from coming. Your willingness to act as a back-up and your help in setting up my equipment allowed this to happen.
Ron Green and his assistant Tammy Beidas were also a necessity, by lining up locations and with coordinating. Jamile Shibley's help with breaking down my equipment was also very much appreciated.
Perhaps the biggest "Thank You" should go to the roughly 40 brother's, plus many wives and guests who put forth their efforts to attend at least one of the scheduled reunion events.
This past weekend was one of my most memorable in a long long time.
It was simply wonderful to see old friends for the first time in 35 years. Perhaps the (too many) who did not attend, will seriously consider making the required effort to attend future reunions. I certainly hope so for everyone's benefit.
Thank you Barry, for designing and maintaining this website. It can and should be an ongoing tool for keeping us all connected.
I'm Very Damn Glad,
Dewey
<< Mike, Jamille, and Dewey going down to Gator >>
Going down wasn't too hard. It was the getting back up that was damn near impossible. Thanks for the helpin' hand Mike. Otherwise, I'd still be on the floor.

Pfew ...., now that's a stretch.
Jamile you are clearly the winner of Danny Brown's "Gator Challenge",
Congrats !!
You are very welcome to my assistance at any time Dewey - particularly if you bring Candy.
It was a very memorable weekend that should be repeated sooner rather than later.
Barry

I just want to say "thanks" to you for arranging a wonderful evening with old friends. I really, really appreciate your efforts to put this reunion together. I thought it was GREAT. Trish and I had a great time. I thought the highlight of the evening was watching you and a couple of others gator. Unless my eyes failed me, I even saw some one-arm gatoring --- a m a z i n g!
It was great being with you and your wonderful wife. Again, I say "thank-you".
Jack
Dew, Martha and I just wanted to THANK YOU and Candy for all your effort for us "old farts". We had a great time reliving old memories of a wonderful time in our lives. Again, thank you. You were elected permanent alumni secretary last nite. Martha is already looking for a flight to New York to hook up with you and Candy. As said last nite old friends are best and it was great seeing you dance and laugh. We love you!!!!!! But we're not gay!!!!!!
Hey, Dewey.........I was just wondering how the Phi Sig reunion went. Wish I could have been there. Hope you're going to do a little news report on all the happenings. I arrived in Rio de Janeiro yesterday, and wow, is this place a dream! Everybody should see this palce once in a lifetime! If far exceeds my expectations. ...... Hope all is well with you.
All the best,
J. D. Dodd
Dewey...thanks for all your help on this week end. Rob

Jack is right on the mark. We had a marvelous time and all your efforts were very much appreciated. I realize you had to go to extreme physical effort to set everything up and make the trip. But the fact is that without you this weekend would never have happened.
Told Tammy that all her work was sincerely appreciated.
Thank you again for allowing all of us the opportunity to reconnect.
Ron
Dewey, just wanted to say "Thanks" again for all your efforts pulling the "Reunion" together this past weekend. Although I was only able to attend the BBQ at the house, it was great to visit with so many Brothers from my initiation class (1971) and the rest of you "old guys". Seriously, it was very enjoyable and several of us are already talking about another next year and a couple of informal things locally. Hottie Tottie and I really am "damn glad". Mike
Dewey,
You had the vision, the passion, the dedication and the courage to get this done.
We all are in your debt.
This was a great weekend and could only have been improved with more brothers attending.
I certainly look forward to the next time we get together.
Thanks also to Ron Green and Tammy, Barry Bozeman and others who were instrumental in pulling all the details together.
Damn glad!
Dean

Dewey:
Thank you for all of the hard work that went into the events of this past week end.
Sylvia and I had a great time and it was good to see all of the brothers that returned.
This event was a success that we can build on for the future. With all of the information that you now have, the next one will be even better.
I look forward to hearting from you about the CD. I really appreciate your music!
Fraternally,
Bob Witt
Dewey,
First a really big thank you for all the work and the fun get together.
I am so sorry that you have been so ill and I didn't realize it. It really takes a special person to continue the fight and to find time to "smell the roses" as you go.
Keep enjoying the family and the little things to help you keep up your emotions.
But mainly I'm sorry I did not get to see you all more this weekend because of work.
I really wanted a chance to visit a little more with Candy. With all that you've been through, God really blessed you with a woman who has to have as much character as you do, a person who really honors "in sickness and in health." you are two such special people.
God bless you both and please keep in touch. Actually, marriages like yours and mine that last now days are not the norm. How did two goofballs like you and me ever get so lucky?
A great party! All such events require great effort and attention to many details. It was well done and much appreciated.Thank you. Carolyn and I wish all of the Phi Sig family a great holiday---this was a special present for us. Mike and Carolyn Cuddy
